Therapeutic Effect of Aclatonium napadisilate(Aclaton^(®)) in Patents of Chronic Gastritis

Abstract
|
|
|
The therapeutic efficacy of Aclatonium napadisilate was evaluated in 47 out patients with chronic gastrits diagnosed with thorough physical examination, laboratory findings and gastroscopy in Seoul National University Hospital. In the open study, 54mg(2 capsules) of Aclatonium napadisilate were given orally 30 minutes before meal 3 times a day for 2-6, weeks. The effectiveness was assessed by the subjective decision about every subjective symptom in 4 different levels, excellent, good, fair and not effective, and the cases with excellent or good responses to the drug were scored as effective.
The results obtained were summarized as follows:
1) The improvement rate of every subjective symptom in 6 weeks treatment was nausea. 92.6%, belching 89.5%, heartburn 87. 1%, abdominal fullness 85.7%, epigastric discomfort 82. 0%, anorexia 81. 3%, vomiting 80.0%, constipation 71.4%, diarrhea 66. 7%
2) Good to excellent improvement was obtained in 70.2% of patient. Especially nausea, abdominal fullness, belchiyng and heartburn were significantly improved.
3) There were no significant untoward reactions, either subjective or objective to the administration of Aclatonium napadisilate.
In conclusion Aclatonium napadisilate appears to be fairly effective and safe for the treatment of patient with chronic gastritis.
